Juno Flies by Ganymede, Jupiter’s Largest Moon

The Juno space explorer craft sent into the solar system by NASA has done a close fly-by of Jupiter’s largest moon, Ganymede. The images returned to Earth were the first in two decades.

The space ship came as close as 645 miles to the moon, the first time a craft has been that close since 2000, when Galileo passed by.
