Spartronics, a contract manufacturer of complex electronic and electromechanical devices for commercial aerospace, defense, space, instrumentation and control, life sciences and medical device applications, broke ground on a new facility in Binh Duong City, Vietnam on April 14 2021. The location will expand the company’s capacity for state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing services.

Located outside Ho Chi Minh City, this new facility is scheduled to open in March 2022. Its 270,000 square-foot building with solar rooftop will have four times the space as the company’s current Vietnam location and is located near major air and seaports. It will be part of the Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park and replace the company’s current site, which also is in Binh Duong City. All ISO and customer certifications will transfer along with the move. The entire manufacturing value chain is represented there, providing engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, supply chain management and aftermarket services.

“Vietnam is an important part of our company’s offering,” said Paul Fraipont, president and CEO of Spartronics. “Not only has the region itself been growing exponentially, but it is also a big part of our company’s growth strategy. This new facility represents our commitment to invest in Vietnam. It will help us to maintain the levels of quality and service our customers have come to expect with us and scale capacity in tandem with our own customers’ growth.” Dung Tran, vice president and managing director at the Vietnam facility, agreed. “We are excited to accommodate future production growth through this new location and will continue to develop our outstanding pool of local talent for future leadership,” he said.
