Lufthansa Systems and Air Nostrum have signed a contract extending the use of the flight planning solution Lido Flight 4D for several years. The contract renewal is accompanied by new modules such as RAIM II. With the implementation of Lido Flight 4D, Air Nostrum is equipped to respond to the ever-changing demands and optimize its growing operational complexity.
“Air Nostrum has been using our efficient and reliable flight planning solution Lido Flight 4D since 2005. At the beginning of the year, the Spanish airline chose the migration to the Global Aviation Cloud. By moving flight planning to the cloud, the airline benefits in terms of service and operational cost savings. This was a crucial point why Air Nostrum decided to extend the contract. Air Nostrum operates under the Iberia Regional brand mostly within Spain, although it also serves destinations in Europe and North Africa. The Spanish airline is based in Valencia and is one of the three largest regional airlines in Europe.
“Lido Flight 4D has liked us by its efficiency in flight planning processes. The upgrade to the cloud environment gives us flexibility, scalability and security of the solution,” explained Carlos Llorens, Ground Operations Director at Air Nostrum. “The new modules such as RAIM II contribute to the safety of GPS applications.”
